If I had known how this clinic operates, I would have never gone there. I visited the clinic on June 1st because I had an accident involving one of my teeth and needed treatment as soon as possible. At no point before my appointment was I informed that I would not be seeing a dentist in person and that the consultation would be conducted virtually. The staff was quick in taking X-rays and performing the initial examination, but then I waited for nearly an hour in a cold room, only to find out that the consultation would be virtual. After the consultation, I was given a treatment plan. Since the estimated cost was significant, I told them I would call back to schedule the appointment and begin treatment. Within an hour of leaving the clinic, I started calling the number they provided. That same day, I left approximately three voicemails and never received a call back. The following day, I called again and left additional voicemails, but once again, no one returned my calls. I then called the clinic’s main number and was told that they could not schedule my appointment because only the person assigned to my case could do so. They said they would leave her a message. 1st visit, and will not be returning. Everyone was very friendly. I had zero wait and was brought right back and started the x-rays. The office manager was very friendly and prompt on refunding my prepayment. My problem comes from the telemedicine and billing process. I was aware of the teledental exam upon scheduling my appointment and was totally fine with it. After the dentist finished virtually going over my x-rays and scans, he left the call, and the dental assistant/biller shared her screen and scrolled very quickly through the treatment plan, not going over it line by line but as a large chunk, and although she was very nice, she was very pushy with payment. Without saying it straight out, she made it seem that my appointments would not be kept if the prepayment was not made. ("I'll make a note that you will be paying the treatment plan later today so we can keep your appointments on the books" type stuff) After prepaying for my work, I went back through my treatment plan to see that I was overcharged for a few different things compared to my price through my insurance. Also, out of my almost $3,000 bill, over $2,000 of it was "fluff" in my opinion. Optional things, or thin

I have been with the Valencia location for the last few years and I have not had any need to seek out an alternative. Today went so smoothly during my check up. I truly appreciated all of the help along the way throughout the visit by each one of the staff Ramona, Maria and Dr. Kopel! They ensured I was completey aware of the whole process to come and that I was comfortable the entirety of the visit. I even scored and awesome Zak Dental Electric Toothbrush during my visit today, how sweet!

At first they were great but after the first appointment to fix my fillings I noticed my tooth had a sharp part and it felt fragile like it would break. I called back and got a same day appointment which was nice but after meeting with the dentist things went wrong. I told her it’s my real tooth that’s sharp and I don’t want to drill it down. So I asked if she could add more filling to it. She did a very little amount that made no difference. I asked for more she said no it would interfere with my bite. Then she kept telling me it’s not my tooth it’s the filling. (The filling is whiteish my tooth is YELLOW so I know damn well it’s my tooth! Plus licking it I can feel the filling it has a rough texture while my teeth feel smooth also looked at it for a long time in the mirror and had multiple people look and all agreed that’s my tooth) After she said no to the filling she told me open and mouth then STARTED DRILLING MY TOOTH! At that point I was pissed. She asked if it felt better I said no she asked me what I’d like to do I said I didn’t want anything else I told you what I wanted you didn’t listen I’m done and walked out. Second time here at Zak Dental, staff Tony and Jazmin are always friendly professional and accommodating. Definitely will bring my other child for a check up and cleaning.
